On Saturday, February 23rd, 2013, over 400 members of the community attended the second of three events associated with the Science Institute in the Department of Science and Mathematics’ National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded Scientists for Tomorrow program. The event was hosted by the Field Museum and was designed to support the content that youth are currently learning within their Scientists for Tomorrow after-school activities. Participants included teens and parents from 16 partnering Chicago community organization sites and 8 self-sustained community centers associated with the project, program instructors, and community leaders.
