On behalf of Scientists for Tomorrow, we would like to thank you for supporting us at the 2013 STEAM Student Conference. Over 300 participants attended the event and participated in career-oriented and project based workshops.
The Annual STEAM Student Conference was designed to promote science, technology, engineering, architecture and mathematics through a series of workshops taught by students and professionals. There were twenty-five workshops varying in robotics, forensic science, computer technology, rocket design, live shark dissection and learning about electrical circuits. Parents were also invited to attend a workshop exclusively for them.
A collaboration between The Upward Bound Math and Science program, the Chicago Teachers’ Center, Northeastern Illinois University, and Columbia College Science and Math Department, the conference continues to grow and is becoming a nation wide success.
